It has been on backorder for a long time, but Whitey has finally gotten his paws on a American Eagle 20th Anniversary Silver Coin Set.

The set contains a proof silver eagle, an uncirculated silver eagle and a reverse proof silver eagle.

Whitey is warming up the scanner right now and we will post some scans as soon as he is done.

Very, very nice. In the mail I got my first gold american eagle today. It was only 1/10 once but it has impressed me enough to want to buy more. American Eagles are great coins.

On another note. I also go a 1/20 gold austrailian pig and 2oz silver austrailian dragon today. The dragon is a gorgeous coin!

Oooh, nice. The mint sent an advert to me with those shown and I considered getting one. Now I will. The reverse proof is cool.

I saved the advert, it shows $100, bet that will appreciate plus it would make a nice Christmas gift.

In addition, they show the same set in gold, $2,610, limit 10 per household. Damn, why do I always get cut off when I start having fun?

I notice that the mint is selling uncirculated S G & P coins.

They only made 10,000 of the Gold sets and they are long gone. That $2,610 box is now worth well over $5,000. I would take 10 of them, at the mint price, in a heartbeat.

The 3 Piece Silver Set Are Nice!! And they are still available.

It figures. The only mint deal that I ever made money on was the 1999 10 piece silver quarter. I bought 4 of them.

I'll get 3-4 of the 3 piece silver sets, my son who is leaving Baghdad tomorrow will get one.

Nice buy RossL, by May of next year those sets will probably go up 4 to 5 times what you paid.

I never saw this thread when it was opened last year. Wish I had. Makes me wonder what other threads I'm missing and why I'm missing them??? Nice pics.
